May 2024 Update

"What good is it, dear brothers and sisters, if you say you have faith but don't show it by your actions? Can that kind of faith save anyone?" - James 2:14 (ESV)

Dear Friends,

The month of April has been full of travel, speaking engagements, meeting some incredible people, and unfortunately, sickness’s. Jordan has suffered with, what may be an ear infection (we’re awaiting a doctors appointment), and I myself am on my second bout of cold, swollen glands with an upcoming root canal this week. But we thank God for His healing hand and abundant grace to have kept us going in the midst of everything we’ve had scheduled.

As many of you may know, we took a 9 day trip to Northern Ireland at the beginning of the month. It was just an incredible time of connection, worship, and missional focused conversations!

Thank you to all of the Pastors who had invited us to speak at their churches, and the coffee catch ups with leaders who’d shared some valuable insight and wisdom! A special thanks to Pastor Roy Johnston - Elim Irelands’ Missions Director, who had so graciously chauffeured us from place to place and made the whole trip so much more enjoyable! And not forgetting the wonderful Brotherston family! Doing missional life with you guys is a privilege!

A highlight of the trip was attending the City On A Hill Conference, where we heard some fantastic teaching from incredible speakers - and got to meet the new General Superintendent of Elim!

Since our return back to England, we have both been working really hard. I’m very proud of Jordan, as he is doing incredibly well in both of his Jobs! One as a Sound Engineer, assisting in live sound for events, and the other as Head of Year 11 at a secondary school.

I myself have been working for a Junior school as a Behavioural/SENCO lead.

There are definitely lots of challenges with schools work, but we can both really see why God has placed us where we are.

Unfortunately we haven’t had a lot of time to see/visit family or friends this month, but we are looking forward to catching up with our loved ones soon.

Here’s to our wonderful prayer warriors!

  • Please pray that our health continues to improve. We trust and believe in the healing power of the Lord!
  • We also believe in Him to be our provider, so please could you pray for the fundraising. We are 50% of the way there, but we are praying for regular financial support in order for us to stay in Japan, long term.
  • And finally, would you pray about our new house and home in Japan? Clarity around this would be something we’d love for you to pray for, as it’s very much on our hearts and minds lately. Especially since the visa documentation will be submitted next week.

Thank you all so much for still choosing to journey with us at these early stages! It means so much!

God bless,

Nitasha & Jordan Christian
