About us
Discoverers (and its predecessors) have been providing quality interactive Christian children’s activities for over 20 years.
It is our mission to allow children to:- “Discover the Christian Truth in today’s world”.
We encourage children to explore the truths of the Christian faith and the Bible and to begin an adventure in discovering how it is relevant for them, as children, in their world. We also challenge the children to apply this in their everyday lives in practical ways so that they make a difference.
We believe the best way to achieve this goal is to deliver the best 75 minutes of fun packed activities we possibly can. If you think church is boring, then you’re going to the wrong one! Elim Christian Centre is many things, but it is not boring! Discoverers appreciates that an entertained and involved child leads to a well educated child. Our focus is on Christian teaching but our methods are fun!
We value every one of our Discoverers children and aim to build their self esteem during their time with us.
What you can expect
The children are grouped by age so that they can take part in activities that are suitable and relevant to them.
We use an interactive teaching programme which includes craft work, colouring, games, stories, drama, singing specially written modern Christian songs, and much more.
The groups and activities staffed by a team of over 60 volunteers. Each age group is led by a person who has overall responsibility for that group and for managing their team, In addition the group leaders collectively have overall responsibility for looking after Discoverers as a whole.
