Executive Director

Reporting to the National Leadership Team, act as principal interface and co-ordinator between the Governing Body (currently the National Leadership Team - NLT) and the administrative, operational organisation upon which it relies.

Responsible for overall operations and the creation of complete business plans for the attainment of goals and objectives set in conjunction with the National Leadership Team.

The Executive Director is responsible for overseeing the administration, programs and strategic plan of the organisation, ensuring compliance with current and known future legal requirements.

The Executive Director will be required to combine empathy and engagement with Elim mission and ministry, with understanding and experience of the challenges and responsibilities of the charitable sector.

Other duties include:

  • Communicating effectively with the NLT and providing, in a timely and accurate manner, all information necessary for the NLT to function properly and to make informed decisions, ensuring that the GS has a cognitive awareness of all issues that are to be reported;
  • Developing and implementing strategies aiming to promote the organisation’s mission, as directed by the NLT;
  • Planning and operation of annual budget and medium to long-term financial planning;
  • Creating complete business plans for the attainment of goals and objectives set by the NLT;
  • Responsible for fiscal management that generally anticipates operating within the approved budget, ensures maximum resource utilisation, and maintenance of the organisation in a positive financial position, achieved in a manner that supports and guides the organisation’s mission as defined by the NLT;
  • Responsible for the fiscal integrity of the organisation, to include submission to the NLT of a proposed annual budget and monthly financial statements, which accurately reflect the financial condition of the organisation;
  • Inform the NLT of internal and external matters affecting the organisation;
  • Review reports prepared by others to acquire an understanding of the organisation’s financial and non-financial position, in order to be able to assist the understanding of NTL members.
  • Assist NLT in their understanding of all reports;
  • Building an effective team of leaders by providing guidance and coaching to supporting managers;
  • Supervise, develop and collaborate with organisation’s staff;
  • Responsible for the hiring and retention of competent, qualified staff, subject to current NLT agreed guidelines and budgets;
  • Assist in setting of goals and measurement of performance for all staff.
  • Review and approve contracts for services;
  • Establishing employment and administrative policies and procedures for all functions and for the day-to-day operation of the organisation;
  • Ensure adherence of the organisation’s daily activities and long-term plans to established, and known future, policies and legal guidelines;
  • Directing and overseeing investments;
  • Devise remedial actions for any identified issues and conduct crisis management when necessary, ensuring that the General Superintendent and / or NLT are aware of any significant issues that have been identified;
  • All duties and communications should be carried out in a manner befitting a senior officer of an organisation whilst promoting the principles, ethos and tenets of Elim;
  • Working with other NLT appointed/designated officials (e.g. Audit Committee) in an appropriate and efficient manner to meet desired aims and goals;
  • Other duties as assigned by the General Superintendent and/or National Leadership Team;

  • Salary: £65,000 - £75,000 Depending on Experience and Qualifications

Academic Administrator (Undergraduate)

Regents Theological College is the National Training Centre of the Elim Pentecostal Church and one of the leading Pentecostal Bible Colleges in Europe. It provides a range of theology courses at undergraduate, masters and doctorate levels, all validated by the University of Chester.

Situated in 35 acres of stunning countryside in an area of outstanding natural beauty on the slopes of the Malvern Hills, the College is nearing 300 students, about half of whom live on campus. Graduating students move into a variety of careers including Christian ministry, teaching, social work, business and the arts.

In this role, you will support the coordination of administrative processes for the college incorporating all undergraduate students from initial registration, on-going registration through to assessment and graduation.

Theology Lecturer

Regents Theological College is the National Training Centre of the Elim Pentecostal Church and one of the leading Pentecostal Bible Colleges in Europe. It provides a range of theology courses at undergraduate, masters and doctorate levels, all validated by the University of Chester.

This exciting role seeks to put learning, teaching and supervision at the forefront. The successful candidate will facilitate learning for undergraduate, postgraduate and doctoral studies, whilst maintaining excellence through serving alongside the faculty in supporting in various academic committees and boards.

Duties and Responsibilities

Key elements of the role include:

  • Lecturing Delivery of high quality, research based, teaching in the classroom and virtual environments at both undergraduate and postgraduate level.
  • Module Development and Delivery Taking responsibility for some key areas of undergraduate and postgraduate module development and delivery, ideally in the areas of Systematic Theology, Christian Ethics, Church History and Historical Theology, World Religions and Mission.
  • Marking and Supervision Take an active role in first and second marking of assessments at levels 4 to 7 and research supervision at levels 6 to 8.
  • PhD Supervision Primary and secondary supervision of PhD and MRes students.
  • Theology Track Leadership Actively develop and oversee the theology track, organising track events and offering primary support to students on this track.
 

Whilst we are anticipating the need to make a full-time appointment to this role, we are willing to explore flexible working arrangements in order to see various aspects of the role delivered.
